Some of our projects

Damen Shipyards presents a new shipping concept to the market: the Damen Offshore Carrier (DOC) 7500 – specifically designed as a smaller heavy transport offshore installation and ro-ro platform suitable for multiple markets. The Damen Offshore Carrier aims to provide flexibility and year-round utilisation.

The new, distinictive, sleek bow and slender hull enable the vessel to sustain its speed and course in head seas, as well as helping to reduce fuel consumption. The bow design diminishes accelarations and reduces slamming to a very low level, improving comfort and safety for the vessel, crew and cargo.

A multifunctional ability was a key part of the DOC design (for shore-to-(off)shore transport, ro-ro operations and installation work).

The DOC can comfortably accommodate 30 people, which can be expanded when in installation mode.

Drumarkon has supplied its non combustible floating floor system Drumafloor NC and B-class bulkheads for this vessel.

The vessel has been converted and upgraded to DP2 Service Support Vessel for staff accommodation and transport to offshore wind farms installations. Key words are: wellbeing and comfort of the staff, reducing operating costs and of course reliability. The ship will have Lloyd’s class approval and will be built according to the SPS Code.

DP Gezina offers accommodation to 60 people each in single-berth cabins, but the vessel can optionally facilitate 90 persons.

Although the focus has been on transporting persons and equipment to offshore wind farm installations, this vessel has also been developed with the offshore oil and gas exploration / exploitation market in mind.

Drumarkon has supplied its non-combustible floating floor system Drumafloor NC in combination with the basic floor (extra strength and sound reduction) for this vessel.

The Gezina has been converted by Holland Shipyard.

This ship is especially being used for survey activities. The ship is usable for survey and crew tendering activities as well as the construction and maintenance of windparks and has a unique combination of speed, comfort and versatile usability.

Characteristic for the ship is the stability system and the features of the underwater ship. The objective is to extend the working area to a higher swell. Survey data can currently be recorded up to a swell of more than 4 meters while the crew continues to enjoy optimal comfort.

The ship is 22.22 meters long, 6.62 meters wide. The maximum number of knots that Guardian is able to sail is 25.

Drumarkon has delivered its Drumafloor NC/SR in combination with its IMO-certified BISCO vibration dampening foam. Drumafloor NC/SR is a IMO B-class floating floor concept with excellent suo0nd reduction capabilities.

The Guardian is a Javelin International BV design.

The ‘Aquarius-G’ and her sister ship ‘Astra-G’ mark a milestone in Offshore Support Vessel construction.

The ‘Aquarius-G’ and sistership ‘Astra-G’ are so-called Guard Vessels or Chasers. One major task is to ensure that other shipping, mainly fishing ships, will keep distance from Seismic Survey Vessels engaged in offshore exploration. A further key activity for the SRS vessels are the alongside operations, featuring a variety of services to the seismic survey mothership.

Seismic research is done at a sailing speed not exceeding four knots. At such low speeds, the ship needs to be both stable and maintain good manoeuvrability.

The two novel Seismic Research Support Chasers have a 40-metre length over all, 9.30 metres width, 3.30 metres draught, with accommodation for a complement of fourteen. Top speed is 14 knots.

Drumarkon has supplied its non-combustible floating floor Drumafloor NC in combination with its basic floor and its IMO-certified BISCO vibration dampening foam.

Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam and Saltwater Engineering design and build Seismic Research Support Vessels for Rederij Groen.

Van Oord invested in an innovative and advanced offshore wind farm installation vessel called Aeolus. The Aeolus will be 139 m long, 38m wide and fitted with a crane capable of hoisting 900 tonnes at 30 metre radius. The vessel will be deployed at the Gemini project.

Drumarkon has supplied its non combustible floating floor system Drumafloor NC for this vessel.

The 27-meter “Wind Cat 101” is a work boat for offshore wind farm work. Launched in 2011 she is the first in a series of such vessels.

She has been built in all aluminum on a catamaran hull platform and can carry as many as 50 persons for about 300 nautical miles offshore. Two cabins are located below deck in the hulls. The reinforced foredeck can be fitted with one 20-foot container or two ten-footers or other cargo.

Drumarkon has supplied its Drumafloor Light and reinforced glassfiber Artkon materials.

The vessel has been built by Bloemsma en Van Bremen based on the interior and exterior design by Vripack.

A special assignment which involved the complete conversion of the ex-passengership “Vincent van Gogh / Charlemagne”. At brothers Kooimans shipyard, the ship was completely converted into a luxury cruise ship for overnight cruises on the Thames, departing from London.

Drumarkon has supplied its Drumafloors, fire resistant walls, ceilings and veneer. A prestigous project with a very special allure.

For Queen Elisabeths diamond jubilee in 2012, the Spirit of Chartwell was selected to leed a fleet of 1000 vessels during the Thames parade on June 3, 2012. Decorated with fresh flowers from the Queens gardens, the Royal family and the Duke of Edinburgh were present on the Spirit of Chartwell.

Our products are also used for the construction of Millenium Yachts: Artkonboard. Both in the interior as well as the exterior of the fastest superyacht in the world: the “Millenium 140” (70 knots p/h), Drumarkons products can be found.

We have chosen for a few specific and well-known projects. No less valued are all other projects we receive from our clients.
